These sessions are a free no obligation Taster.
These are approximately 1 1/2 hours and include
- An introduction to the principles of Nordic Walking
- Assessment for sizing of the poles.
- Overview of the basics of Nordic walking
- An insight into the benefits of the advanced technique

We can provide poles for you to use. We do however recommend that you purchase Nordic Walking poles if you then decide to continue with the ‘Learn To Nordic Walk Technique Course. Please wear comfortable, if possible flexible footwear, ideally either walking shoes or old trainers. Comfortable close fitting layers are ideal for Nordic walking as big heavy coats can get in the way of the poles and you do often get very warm. A small backpack is also recommended to carry keys, phone, layers and water.
You will need to complete a health questionnaire (Physical Activity Readiness Questionnaire) prior to attending a Taster session.
