North Cheshire Nordic Walking Fundraising 2016

I am delighted to report that North Cheshire Nordic Walkers have raised over £1000 from various events throughout the year!

North West Air AmbulanceIan’s year-long shorts wearing challenge raised £140. The May to December portion of funds raised went to CAFT; donations from January to the end of April this year will be added to our NW Air Ambulance fund.

In May we had Coffee & Cake plus The NW Olympics at Julie’s Menage, which raised £51.

In June, 16 of us did the 10K Race For Life at Tatton Park. Our individual sponsorship went to Cancer Research.

July was the NCNW & Goostrey Walkers epic 10-hour (8 hours for Richard & Adam, our runners) Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge. This raised £500, not including Georgina’s fund raising for her Duke Of Edinburgh Diamond Award which was over £100. £250 of this has been sent to The Children’s Adventure Farm Trust and the remaining £250 will go to NW Air Ambulance.

9th October was The Countryfile Ramble which raised £100 for Children In Need.

The final amount to be sent to this year’s charity, the NW Air Ambulance will be in excess of £600 but I will confirm the exact final amount in due course.

Thank you to all who contributed either by being involved or by donating.thank-you-sized
