Now I would never have dreamed that I would be bringing the subject of how to keep Nordic Walking kit dry at the beginning of May! But hey ho the rain does not seem to be abating. So, in response to a few conversations about how to keep mobile phones, spare layers, butties etc dry in your backpack, I have done some research amongst our day/trip Nordic walkers.
There are some brilliant waterproof bags that you can buy to either line your rucksack or have individual bags for each bit of your equipment, depending on how organised you like to be. I actually have 3 plastic bags inside my rucksack with all my kit inside them. I find supermarket Ziploc bags work well, but if you search ‘waterproof bags for travel’ on that website that is taking over our lives you will find the most amazing selection of very posh bags to protect your gear.
