This is a fantastic day’s walking in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The walk covers gorgeous woodlands, nature reserves and coastline paths (even some beach walking, if this tide is out) with stunning views over Morecambe Bay and the estuary.

Arnside Nordic walk

We meet at Leighton Moss RSPB visitor centre at 9.30am for coffee/breakfast, ready to start walking by 10.15am.

The nature reserve is 4 miles / 6km north of Carnforth. Take J35 off the M6 (signposted Carnforth) then follow the A6 north (signposted to Milnthorpe). Brown tourist signs direct you to the  reserve off the A6 and take you through the villages of Yealand Redmayne and Yealand Storrs. Postcode LA5 0SW.

There is a fantastic late lunch/afternoon tea stop at Silverdale. We should be back at the nature reserve at approx. 5pm.
