Healthy recipes

Some of you have got Nutribullets and have been asking about the best recipes. My favourite is:

Spinach and Melon

  • A handful of washed baby leaf spinach
  • A Quarter of a cantaloupe or galia melon
  • 1 Tbs mixed seeds – sunflower, hemp, pumpkin, chia
  • Filtered water or Coconut water.

Blitz all the ingredients for 30 seconds. Yummy.

On that subject as many of you know I promote ‘CLEAN EATING’ as a healthy way to ‘detox’ and rejuvenate your body. Basically a clean eating plan gets rid of all the processed foods that can clog up your body causing lethargy and bloating. It can benefit the body by aiding fat loss and weight loss, increasing energy levels, increasing mental well-being and improving skin clarity, hair strength and sleep quality.The Clean Eating plan eliminates wheat, dairy, alcohol, caffeine and SUGAR. Here is a recipe for

Clean Lemon Drizzle Cake

  • 100g organic butter
  • 200g stoned dates
  • 175g gluten free flour
  • 1 Tsp baking powder
  • 3 medium eggs
  • 2 Tbsp almond milk
  • Grated rind of 1 lemon.

Mix all the ingredients together in a bowl and pour into greased, lined loaf or round tin. Bake 30 mins at 180º until springy to the touch. Poke some holes and pour the juice of the lemon over the top. Leave to cool in the tin.
